Loki: Check Out The Hilarious Thor Frog, aka Throg, Deleted Scene From Season 1 Now!

Loki meets Throg: A Hilarious deleted scene featuring both of these characters from Season 1
Throg from Marvel Comics

If fans can recall correctly, in one of the scenes in Season 1 of Loki, we catch a glimpse of Frog Thor in a jar. Since that one scene, we haven’t really seen much of the variant until now. An X user shares a hilarious clip where Loki interacts with Frog Thor.

CHRIS HEMSWORTH AS THROG

In the clip, we see Chris Hemsworth voicing Frog Thor (better known as Throg). The character yells at his brother “You turned me into a frog!” as he propels himself with Mjolnir, hitting Loki in the face. Check out the clip of the deleted scene below:

According to X user @havanesemom13, the context behind this clip is Loki “is speaking about Thor as if he’s dead and then Throg shows up and is displeased.” Mobius is showing this clip to Loki at the TVA with a Holoprojector.

In the comics, Thor wasn’t the character who becomes Throg but a college football star from Mississippi named Simon Walterson. His career as a football player ended when he severely injured his knee but was able to continue life with his wife and their charity work. When his wife and his unborn child die, he finds a witch who can connect with the afterlife.

He gets to communicate with his wife and learn more about his unborn child but Simon didn’t have sufficient funds to pay the witch for her service. She punishes him by cursing him to transform into a frog and he ends up living in Central Park, starting his new life as an amphibian and being part of a clan of frogs. He was soon given the name Puddlegulp.

A piece of Mjolnir was broken off when Toothgnasher tapped his hoof on the weapon. Puddlegulp sees this and is able to lift the silver weapon, which transforms into a miniature Mjolnir. This granted him the power of Thor and Puddlegulp becomes Throg, Frog of Thunder, and the wielder of the mighty Frogjolnir. His adventures include being part of the Pet Avengers.
