Today’s Pokémon Presents livestreamed all of the incredible news and announcements over a 30-ish minute broadcast. Today’s Pokémon Presents has already earned more than 1.6million views. It’s astounding that Pokémon Presents in and of itself has become a fan-favorite part of the franchise. Anyway, onto what was announced!
The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask
Pokémon Presents showcases the first adventure in the new DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, “The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero,” is set to launch on September 13, 2023. In “Part 1: The Teal Mask,” players will embark on a school trip to the land of Kitakami, where they will explore the mysteries behind an old Kitakami folktale and encounter Pokémon not found in the Paldea region. More details about “Part 2: The Indigo Disk” will be revealed at a later date.
Get Mew & Mewtwo! In-Game Event
A special in-game event, “Get Mew & Mewtwo!,” will mark the debut of the Mythical Pokémon Mew and the Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo in the Paldea region. Players can add Mew to their team by entering a special password in the Mystery Gift menu, and a Tera Raid Battle event will allow players to challenge and catch a Mewtwo with the Mightiest Mark.

New Animated Series: Pokémon: Paldean Winds and Pokémon: Path to the Peak
Two new animated series were announced during today’s Pokémon Presents, bringing fresh stories to the Pokémon universe. Pokémon: Paldean Winds follows three academy students on their journey of growth and learning in the Paldea region. Pokémon: Path to the Peak will premiere during a special screening at the 2023 Pokémon World Championships, focusing on competitive Pokémon Trading Card Game play.

Detective Pikachu Returns
The tough-talking, coffee-loving Detective Pikachu is back in Detective Pikachu Returns, releasing exclusively for Nintendo Switch on October 6, 2023. Preorders are now available for this exciting new title, where players will solve mysterious incidents in Ryme City.

Horizons, Mobile Game Updates and Classic Games on Nintendo Switch Online
New updates and experiences were revealed for popular mobile games, including Pokémon GO, Pokémon Sleep, Pokémon UNITE, Pokémon Masters EX, and Pokémon Café ReMix. Additionally, the bestselling Pokémon Trading Card Game video game will be coming to Game Boy – Nintendo Switch Online, along with Pokémon Stadium 2 to Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Switch Online.
Pokémon Horizons was also teased as coming soon, but with no definitive release date. Pokémon Go Fest will be hosting an event in New York City on August 18, 2023, but on August 26 and 27, 2023, the global event will take place. Diancie will make her debut in POGO during the event and will have a mega evolution. Plus Mega Rayquaza will appear in raids. Lastly, the Paldea Pokémon will be coming in September.
