Wynonna Earp is back!
Wynonna Earp Season 4 Trailer

Wynonna Earp is back! The much-anticipated trailer for season four of Wynonna Earp has finally dropped and with it, an announcement of when the new season will premiere.

Wynonna Earp is a supernatural western series loosely based on the comic books series of the same name by Beau Smith. Wynonna Earp follows the great-great-granddaughter of Wyatt Earp. Wynonna (Melanie Scrofano) is forced to battle the reincarnated outlaws that Wyatt killed as a lawman, known as Revenants, along with other supernatural threats.

Wynonna must try and tackle this curse with the help of her sister, Waverly (Dominique Provost-Chalkley), Wyatt’s longtime friend the mysterious and ageless Doc Holiday (Tim Rozon) – yes, that Doc Holiday – and Nicole Haught (Katherine Barrell), Waverly’s girlfriend and former deputy now sheriff of Purgatory.

Season 3 ended with the Earp Curse officially broken, Waverly and Doc unreachable in the mythical Garden of Eden, and everyone in town, but Nedley, missing. The only clue being ‘Valdez’ carved into the wall at the Earp homestead, Wynonna is in for a rough start. And looking at this trailer, it doesn’t look like things will be getting any easier, even with the curse finally broken.

Wynonna Earp Season 4 Trailer:

This trailer is jam packed with footage of the upcoming season, including new characters, classic Wynonna one liners, and all kinds of gun cocking, ass-kicking action. As Nedley says, in an homage to creator Emily Andras’ tweet that began the Fight For Wynonna, “Nobody fucks with our family.” The trailer pays a special thanks to the loyal fans, aka Earpers, that fought so hard to save this beloved show when it was threatened by financial problems. And considering Earpers managed to win the fight, that sentiment couldn’t be truer.

The season four trailer gives Earpers a first look at the new character ‘Rachel,’ played by Martina Ortiz-Luiz. Not much has been revealed about this character other than her name, but based on the trailer, she can be seen fighting alongside Wynonna and Nicole more than once. She also has one of the great lines in the trailer, “Okay, Jon Snow in a B cup,” so clearly she can keep up with this crew. Other actors joining the series for the fourth season are Andrew Phung (Kim’s Convenience) and Ty Olsson (SupernaturalThe 100).

The new season will be premiering on Sunday July 26 at 10/9c. However, while Earpers are excited to see Wynonna Earp coming back, the complete season will not be released right away. The new season was only about halfway through filming when the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic lead to production needing to be shut down. The fourth season will be six episodes that culminate in a mid-season finale on Sunday August 30th. Production on the last six episodes is expected to begin at the end of the summer in Calgary, Canada.
