The impact of Zack Snyder’s Justice League on HBO Max’s viewership is still unknown. However, fans really seemed to like this version of the film.

Many consider it a significant improvement over Joss Whedon’s version, urging WB and DC to make the Snyder cut canon. If fans continue to rally behind the film and continue to show support, it may just set things in motion.

Towards the end of newly released cut, we get to see Bruce Wayne’s nightmare world again. In this Mad Max-like universe, we get what seems to be the closest thing to an Injustice type film. We get a glimpse of Clark mourning the death of Lois while Darkseid consoles him. This would’ve been a direct sequel of his version of Justice League, which Snyder has recently elaborated on in an interview with Vanity Fair.

Snyder’s Best Laid Plans

The plan would be to gather a Mother Box to send Barry back in time to fix the errors of this world. Superman would’ve hunted down the rest of Earth’s heroes (and villains). Snyder revealed during his interview with Esquire that Superman would have killed everyone, with the exception of the Flash which barely made it out alive in time.

The last and final installment would’ve focused on Batman’s death, and the redemption of Superman as he becomes the leader of men, fighting alongside Wonder Woman (now leader of Themyscira) and Aquaman leading Atlantis. Snyder sees this as an opportunity to give Superman an “interesting trajectory” giving him the “hugest arc (out) of everybody” as he transitioned from Villain to hero once again.

Before ending the interview, Zack revealed another bombshell. Barbara Gordon would become the symbol of hope in Gotham while Clark and Lois’s son, born without any powers, eventually becomes the newest Batman. This is a lot to digest. The story arc suggested by Snyder would be a completely new spin on characters yet to be introduced in the cinematic world.

Judging by the overwhelming amount of positive feedback given by fans, these movies could become a reality if WB decides to work with Snyder again. There was a lot of friction when it came to Zack’s creative vision with certain characters. At the end of the day, anything could if the movie is highly profitable.
