Venom: Let There Be Carnage is one of the most anticipated films of the year and the trailers seem to show the violence will be amped up.
People were praying for an R-rating, but now we know that’s not gonna happen.

Sadly, Venom: Let There Be Carnage is still rated PG-13 and the Maximum Carnage (pun intended) that would be possible with a R rating will not be seen. Most people seem to be upset and it’s understandable. Carnage is a brutal character in the comics and seeing that would have been incredible in live-action. However, if Sony wants the box office money, then they’ll need the younger audience to go and see it.
Venom Tones Down The Carnage
On top of that, we also got a new poster. Check it out! The poster gives us new looks at Carnage and Shriek and this implies that the latter will have aa much bigger role than originally thought.
Personally, I think this is a fine choice despite always craving a more brutal version of Carnage but knowing that this movie will now appeal to the wider audience, I can live with that. The poster on the other hand, I’m more mixed on. It’s a fine poster but the Photoshop is very blatant, especially on Harrelson.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage is scheduled to release October 15th.
