After the critically approved Wonder Woman (2017) made over $800 million at the box office, it was no surprise that Warner Bros wanted to make a sequel. Wonder Woman 1984 is the title, and we already got the first trailer back at CCXP 2019. The trailer was very well received by fans, who were all very excited for the future of their favourite superhero.
Then the buzz surrounding Wonder Woman 1984 got a bit quiet. There were a few merchandise leaks, but nothing really special. That changed today, because it seems that we’ve finally got our first real look at one of the film’s villains: Cheetah!
While we have seen her in her human form throughout the trailer, we haven’t seen her in her “real form.” That is, her Cheetah form. This leak is based on a new merchandise image from an upcoming series of notebooks, which shows us Cheetah’s face on the cover.

What Does Cheetah’s Look Mean For Wonder Woman 1984?
It’s great to finally see Dr. Barbara Minerva in her final form. While you still should take it with a grain of salt, because this isn’t an officially released image, it’s very likely that this is how Cheetah will look like in the movie. Through set images and now the latest leak, it’s almost confirmed that her final look is going to be done through CGI – which probably doesn’t surprise anyone.
The thing that caught my eye is the fact, that her hair seems to be shorter than in her human form. This probably could be a mistake in the picture itself, or it is something which affects her character in the movie. It’s also pretty interesting that she is wearing such a bright lipstick, which she doesn’t as Dr. Barbara Minerva – at least not in the images we have seen. This could hint at a change of her confidence and her characteristics, or it doesn’t mean anything and it’s just for the look.
In Wonder Woman 1984, Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) gets reunited with Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) 70 years after his “death” and they have to face off against new foes like Max Lord (Pedro Pascal) and Cheetah (Kristen Wiig). Judging by the fierceness of Barbara’s Cheetah look, it seems like she is going to be a real threat for Diana when they go head to head.
