Based on the trailer, it looks like fans of the Vikings franchise are in for an action-packed, eventful season, as these legendary historical figures seek to reinvent themselves and build their personal legacies. It’s interesting to think that the original series in the franchise, Vikings, debuted on the History Channel way back in 2013. So, Season 2 of Valhalla will debut on Netflix 10 years after the original debuted its first season.
At the very least, this looks like it will be an intense, violent, and blood-filled season filled with action and suspense. That boat over the waterfall sequence also looks pretty impressive, and it looks like Season 2 will have some impressive production values. The show also looks to have some impressive sets and costumes throughout the footage of the newly released trailer.
Season 2 of Vikings: Valhalla debuts on Netflix on Jan. 12, 2023. The show will stream exclusively on Netflix. All eight episodes of Season 2 will be available on the streaming service at launch.
