Marvel Studios returned to the big screen this weekend with the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The movie, co-written and directed by Ryan Coogler, was an emotional journey for everyone involved given the unexpected passing of Chadwick Boseman back in August 2020. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is the number one movie in North America!
Tom Cruise finally got one over James Cameron at the box office in a big way. Top Gun: Maverick is breaking box office records left and right. It hasn’t only become the highest-grossing movie of Tom Cruise’s career, but it’s now surpassed the gross of James Cameron’s Titanic at the domestic box office (as noted by Collider).
Thor: Love and Thunder grossed $29 million from early Thursday previews, giving it the second-best opening-day preview box office gross behind only Doctor Strange 2.
The numbers are in for the opening weekend of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and it shows the MCU is still one of the biggest franchises in the world.
