Black Widow

Last night during the NCAA College Football National Championship, we got another trailer for the highly anticipated Black Widow film. We got a glimpse of Natasha Romanoff’s “family”, a look inside the Red Room, and an introduction to the villain of the movie, Taskmaster. Today, Marvel Studios has released a featurette on the Black Widow which highlights her time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Black Widow

Black Widow has had quite the journey ever since her first appearance as an undercover spy in Iron Man 2. In that time frame, she’s become the glue that holds the Avengers together, she’s become a trusted ally and teammate to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. After the Thanos snap, it was Natasha who was leading the charge to keep the universe safe with the help of Captain Marvel, War Machine, Rocket Raccoon, and Okoye. She even made the ultimate sacrifice during ‘End Game‘ to bring all of those that were lost from the snap back.

This featurette dives into the history of the character from the cinematic universe but shows us a glimpse of what we can expect from her solo adventure. Here’s is the official statement from Marvel Studios:

Check out a brand-new featurette that dives into the legacy of Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow since her introduction on the big screen 10 years ago in “Iron Man 2.” In Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller “Black Widow,” Natasha confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. The film opens in U.S. theaters on May 1, 2020.
