The Flash has an all new emotionally charged trailer to get fans excited for the upcoming seventh season.
The Flash is finally returning, so fans will know how Barry and the team rescue Iris and defeat Eva McCulloch. With season 6 ending early due to the pandemic, the story from season 6 will continue into season 7. The sixth season finale saw Eva McCulloch escape from the Mirrorverse, kill her husband, frame Sue Dearborn for the murder, and Barry is losing his speed now that the speed force has been destroyed. In the Mirrorverse Iris, Kamilla, and Singh are trapped and Iris became completely refractive before disappearing all together.
Back at the end of season 6 of The Flash, when production had to shut down, showrunner Eric Wallace was excited for fans to see what happens in the next episode. Wallace told EW,
“I wish everybody could see the episode that comes right after this and find out exactly where Iris is and what happened to her,” explained Wallace. “It’s really cool and there’s a twist, and it’s a big Iris story with a lot of surprises. Also, there’s a big guest star from seasons early on in The Flash. I was really excited for people to see that next week and how that ties into what Eva’s doing. Also, the next episode is an incredibly emotional one, like tears, and I love watching it.”
Originally fans were supposed to see what happened the following week, but instead fans have been eagerly awaiting the new season to learn what happened to Iris. On March 2 Iris’ fate will finally be revealed. Entertainment Weekly has released a new trailer for the CW superhero series that teases how the season 6 story will conclude after being delayed.
THE FLASH NEW SEASON 7 TRAILER
The Flash’s new trailer begins with Joe West saying, “Our greatest weapon against darkness isn’t our superpowers. It’s our humanity and our love for each other.” Given Barry’s depleted powers it is no surprise that the hero needs a pep talk to remind him that his super speed is not what truly makes him a hero. Iris is still trapped somewhere in the Mirrorverse and the effects are getting worse with Iris seeing another version of herself who is mocking her.
The villainous Eva is still acting out her, plans becoming more powerful and dangerous now able to manipulate not just mirrors, but any reflective surface. It looks like Barry may find his way into the Mirrorverse, bringing him one step closer to finding Iris. Barry continues to lose his speed and will be depleted down to 1%, luckily it looks like Frost will make her return sooner than expected.
Although Eva is the major villain in the trailer, Wells says the famous phrase, “Run, Barry, run.” And based on Barry’s reaction it could indicate that Thawne has once again found his way back using Nash Wells. The new season will conclude the thrilling story that was cut short last year due to the pandemic. The trailer focusses on the story that has rolled over into season 7, but doesn’t hint at what will be taking place after Team Flash’s final battle with Eva.
Season 7 of The Flash has a lot to look forward to including the real Godspeed making his appearance after being teased for multiple seasons, Jon Cor playing Chillbain, and much more. Brandon McKnight who plays Chester B. Runk and Kayla Compton who plays Allegra Garcia have been upped to series regulars for the upcoming season.
