Atari’s Yars’ Revenge Returns to the Modern Age in Antstream Arcade’s Online Tournament Starting March 17

Atari has announced that they will be conducting an online tournament for the classic video-game, Yars’ Revenge, in conjunction with the classic video-game streaming service, Antstream.

Today, one of the world’s most iconic consumer brands and entertainment producers, Atari®, and the world’s first and largest retro game subscription service, Antstream Arcade, announced a new online streaming tournament for the Atari® 2600 classic arcade shooter, Yars’ Revenge®.

To celebrate the upcoming spring launch of the all-new Atari VCS PC/console hybrid, the now free-to-play Antstream Arcade platform will host a 10-day Yars’ Revenge leaderboard tournament from March 17 to March 26, 2021. Players will brave insectoid space ships, lasers, and other out-of-this-world obstacles as they vie for top placement on the game’s leaderboards on antstream.com

Antstream Arcade is free-to-play to all users. Tournament entry and participation require no additional fee.

When: 

  • The 10-day tournament runs from March 17 to March 26, 2021

What: 

  • Shoot away the barrier, touch the Qotile behind it to power up the Zorlon Cannon, and finally, shoot the Qotile and destroy it! Repeat for a high score and watch out for the homing destroyer missile!
