Sony Pictures has released a new official look at the upcoming Uncharted film, which not only features Tom Holland’s character Nathan Drake but also another familiar face and character.
This is the second image that we’ve seen in relation to the film since back in January, when Sony revealed a first look at the Spiderman: No Way Home actor as Nathan Drake.

Only this time, there is another familiar character we all know included in the studio’s sneak peek: Nathan Drake’s friend and mentor, Victor “Sully” Sullivan, who is played by the one and only Mark Wahlberg.
Nathan and Sully Team Up in Uncharted
The image of the film was found on Instagram and was posted by @CultureCrave, which showed the two actors together in a adventure of uncovering historical mysteries.
Wahlberg also recently shared a photo of himself sporting his characters trademark mustache, although there were no signs of lip-warmers. There are some speculation to whether the the film will show a time-jump even though it is one of many theories which of course, the story will set before the events of the first game according to Sony. It will basically serve as an origin story for the beloved character as Drake goes abroad on his first adventure along side his mentor Sully.
Uncharted has gone through its fair share of attached filmmakers, including: Travis Knight, Dan Trachtenberg, Shawn Levy, Seth Gordon, Neil Burger and David O. Russell. Last March, Ruben Fleischer, the director of Venom, was confirmed to be also the director of Uncharted.
A lot more surprises will be coming our way, since the film will also star Antonio Banderas, Sophia Ali and Tati Gabrielle. Uncharted is set to hit theaters February 18, 2022.
