Michelle Yeoh - The Witcher

The Witcher franchise is one of the most beloved pop culture franchises in recent memory. It began as a series of popular Polish novels, which spawned critically acclaimed video games, and eventually became the hit Netflix series we know today. Let’s just say it’s a great time to be a Witcher fan.

Michelle Yeoh being involved in a big project is not a really surprise. Throughout Yeoh’s career, she’s taken part in many iconic franchises such as James Bond (007), Marvel, Kung Fu Panda, and more. Yeoh’s inclusion in the Witcher franchise will be a treat for fans.

The Witcher: Blood Origins has no release date as of this published article, but fans can expect more content this year. An animated spin-off film called The Witcher: Nightmare Of The Wolf will focus on Geralt Of Rivia’s mentor and fellow Witcher, Vesemir. But with Yeoh’s casting announcement we can expect more news for Blood Origins to follow soon.

Lauren Schmidt Hissrich will develop the the series and serve as Executive Producer. While Declan De Barra will serve as show runner.
