Andrew Garfield gets coy about his involvement in Spider-Man: No Way Home and things aren't quite adding up.

Will there be a Spider-Man reunion in Spider-Man: No Way Home? That’s a question that’s been on every single Spidey fan’s mind for nearly a year now. While we can’t give an answer with complete certainty, thanks to Andrew Garfield, we’ve found another piece of the puzzle.

Andrew Garfield On His Rumored Involvement in Spider-Man: No Way Home

In an exclusive interview with Variety, Garfield spoke about those “pesky Spider-Man rumors”. He had some interesting words to say, and well, they seem to raise more questions than answers.

“I understand why people are freaking out about the concept of that because I’m a fan as well. You can’t help but imagine scenes and moments of ‘Oh, my God, how fucking cool would it be if they did that?’” he says. “But it’s important for me to say on the record that this is not something I’m aware I am involved in. But I know I’m not going to be able to say anything that will convince anyone that I don’t know what’s happening. No matter what I say, I’m fucked. It’s either going to be really disappointing for people or it’s going to be really exciting.”

I don’t know about you, but my Spider-Sense or “Peter Tingle” is going off a mile a minute right now. If Andrew Garfield has no part in this movie, then why can’t he simply say no? Are all these verbal Olympics completely necessary? Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock, Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, and Jamie Foxx’s Electro, among others, are returning in this multiversal epic. Given these circumstances and everything occurring with the multiverse throughout phase 4 of the MCU, I find it difficult to believe that Andrew Garfield is not in this movie.

While I understand that Garfield meant to say that fans are going to believe what they want to believe regardless of anything he says, as far as I’m concerned, the webbing’s on the wall. That’s right, I said what I said.

I’ll go on record to say that I am 97% sure that Andrew Garfield is in this movie, if I’m wrong, I’m wrong. Let’s not forget how Marvel Studios has a track record of going to great lengths to maintain secrecy about their projects, so we likely won’t know for certain until the movie is released. If we’re lucky we may have confirmation by the second trailer which is speculated to arrive at the end of October.
