Did you miss DC FanDome? Well DC has you covered because they have compiled all of the major announcements in a quick video that’s only a minute and a half long!
DC FanDome is DC’s yearly event for fans that shows off some of the biggest projects that are in development in the DC fandom. This year was no different as the company had a huge lineup of announcements to share for us fans.
So, what all was shown off at DC FanDome?
A Breakdown of the Major Annoucements from DC FanDome
One of the first segments of the event was some updates on the next feature film set in the DC Extended Universe, Black Adam. Fans were treated with an appearance from the Rock, as well as other cast members from the project.
An official teaser was also shown off during the event and showed some people stumbling upon the famous anti-hero. This is the first time we have seen the Rock in the iconic costume and he looks absolutely menacing. The film is set to release on July 29, 2022.
New Looks at Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Gotham Knights
Also revealed were two new trailers for some new video games being released by DC. Those being Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Gotham Knights. Both of these games were initially revealed during last year’s DC FanDome. This year, however, we were able to get a better look at the story for both games.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League follows Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark in an all-new quest to, you guessed it, kill the Justice League. This game is being developed by Rocksteady and will take place in the same universe as the Batman: Arkham series of games.

Gotham Knights follows members of the Bat-family, Nightwing, Red Hood, Robin (Tim Drake), and Batgirl taking on the Court of Owls after the mysterious death of Bruce Wayne / Batman. This game will not take place in the same universe as the Arkham series, however, it is being developed by WB Games Montréal, who also developed Batman: Arkham Origins.
First Peacemaker Trailer Revealed
The trailer for James Gunn’s Peacemaker was finally unveiled. The series will take place after the events of The Suicide Squad and will see John Cena returning to the titular role.
The trailer showed Cena’s character, Christopher Smith / Peacemaker, getting into more violent hijinks to further pursue his quest for world peace. No matter how many lives it takes to get there.
The first episode of Peacemaker is set to premiere on HBO Max on January 13, 2022.
Our First Look At The Flash
DC fans were finally able to get our first look at The Flash starring Ezra Miller in the film’s first teaser trailer. The Flash was originally set to be released all the way back in 2016, however various setbacks and rewrites delayed the film.

The film focuses on Barry Allen traveling back in time to prevent his mother’s murder. This, however, brings unexpected consequences to the timeline. The film is expected to serve as a soft reboot to the DCEU.
Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen will be joined in this film by Ben Affleck’s Batman, Michael Keaton’s Batman, and newcomer Sasha Calle as Supergirl. The film is set to release on November 4, 2022.
Multiple DCTV Renewals and Announcements
A whole slew of DCTV announcements was unveiled at DC FanDome, including some renewals and even some trailers.
For HBO Max both Titans and Doom Patrol were given season 4 renewals. A trailer for Young Justice: Phantoms was also revealed as well as the announcement that the first two episodes are now available on the service.
For the CW we received multiple updates from their current shows The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, as well as Superman & Lois. We also got trailers for Batwoman season 3 and a new series titled Naomi.
A New Trailer for The Batman
Lastly, fans got a new look at the latest version of Batman in film with the latest feature titled, The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson in the titular role.
The Batman was initially revealed all the way back in 2014 and was going to star Ben Affleck in the role instead of Pattinson. Affleck was also set to write, produce, and direct. Jeremy Irons and Joe Manganiello were also expected to reprise their roles as Alfred Pennyworth and Deathstroke respectively. Unfortunately, Affleck had to drop out of the project and DC decided to go in a completely new direction with Matt Reeves now directing the film with a completely new direction and story.

In the trailer, we got some new looks at the villains which will be the Riddler and the Penguin. We also got a better look at the relationship between Bruce Wayne / Batman and Selina Kyle / Catwoman. The trailer was also the first time we got to see Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth.
Of course, this isn’t everything that was announced at DC FanDome, however, these were the biggest announcements shown off at the event. Overall I was fairly pleased with this year’s DC FanDome at can’t wait to see these projects finally release!
