The wait is almost over Critters! The Legend Of Vox Machina will premiere on Prime Video this Friday, January 28, with the first three episodes of the first season. The new animated series boasts an impressive creative team behind the scenes including composer Neal Acree, character designer Phil Bourassa, and the talented animation studio Titmouse Animation. The animated series also features a star studded voice cast including not only the cast of Critical Role, but David Tennant, Stephanie Beatriz, Gina Torres, Dominic Monaghan, and many more.
Critters have been eagerly awaiting the new series since the Kickstarter campaign began in 2019, but it looks like Critical Role have a few more tricks up their sleeves. Critical Role recently announced that Critters will have the chance to join cast members and surprise guests for live The Legend Of Vox Machina Watch Parties on Amazon Prime followed immediately by a Q&A on the Critical Role Twitch.
CRITICAL ROLE TO HOST THE LEGEND OF VOX MACHINA WATCH PARTIES ON TWITCH
The Legend Of Vox Machina Watch Party will be hosted by Mica Burton and give Critters the chance to watch new episodes live with cast members of Critical Role and special guests. Following the live watch-along the cast members and special guests will participate in a Q&A, answering questions about the exciting news series some of which will be pulled directly from the Twitch chat.
On Friday January 28, The Legend Of Vox Machina will premiere on Prime Video with the first three episodes of season 1 at 12am PT. The first The Legend Of Vox Machina Live Watch Party will premiere on the Critical Role Twitch Tuesday February 1 at 7pm PT. The VOD of the Watch Party’s Q&A will debut on the Critical Role YouTube Wednesday February 2 and 3pm PT. This schedule will follow each week for the 12-episode first season, with three new episodes premiering on Prime Video each week.
The Legend Of Vox Machina follows the beloved misfit adventuring party, Vox Machina, from Critical Role’s first campaign. The animated series began with a Kickstarter launched by Critical Role in 2019 in the hopes of raising $750,000 for a half-hour animated special. The Kickstarter campaign surpassed every expectation and raised over $11 million with more than 88,000 backers.
Amazon Prime acquired the streaming rights to The Legend Of Vox Machina in November 2019 and commissioned 14 extra episodes rounding out the animated series at two twelve-episode seasons. The animated series stars Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Liam O’Brien, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel, Travis Willingham and Matt Mercer who also serve as executive producers.
