Sony Pictures released a new IMAX poster for Uncharted, starring Tom Holland.

The hype and excitement for Sony Pictures’ upcoming action-adventure film Uncharted are at an all-time high. With the film releasing in three weeks, fans are excited about Tom Holland’s performance as iconic adventurer Nathan Drake. The hype magnified when all the recent promotional trailers and posters came out.

Uncharted is based on a series of successful video games created by game company Naughty Dog. Besides Uncharted, the company makes other popular game franchises such as Crash Bandicoot and The Last Of Us. To help get excitement for Uncharted, Sony has released a new promotional poster for the upcoming adventure film.

New Posters To Amp Up The Anticipation

Sony Pictures has released a new IMAX promotional poster for Uncharted in conjunction with tickets for the film going on sale Sunday. The new IMAX poster shows Holland’s Drake holding on to a cargo box while in the air of a burning cargo plane. The new promotional image is similar to the recent poster, where Holland’s Drake holds onto a cargo box. It seems that Sony is marketing the plane action scene to be a main highlight for the film.

The new poster’s background showcases all of the locations Drake and his friends will travel to while searching for Magellan’s long-lost treasure. Manhattan, Barcelona, Paris, Rome, Agra, Singapore, and Giza are those locations shown in the poster.

Overall the new IMAX poster for Uncharted looks fantastic. The modern globe in the background showcasing all of the countries Drake could visit is a nice touch. Having Holland front and center in the new poster also helps stand out. We see that Sony featuring the plane again from the trailers and recent posters hints that this could be one of the film’s main highlights. Hopefully, we will see more of these locations once Uncharted comes out in theaters worldwide on February 18th, 2022.

Street-smart thief Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) is recruited by seasoned treasure hunter Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to recover a fortune lost by Ferdinand Magellan 500 years ago. What starts as a heist job for the duo becomes a globe-trotting, white-knuckle race to reach the prize before the ruthless Moncada (Antonio Banderas), who believes he and his family are the rightful heirs. If Nate and Sully can decipher the clues and solve one of the world’s oldest mysteries, they stand to find $5 billion in treasure and perhaps even Nate’s long-lost brother…but only if they can learn to work together.
