Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness is rumored to be full of exciting cameos including Black Bolt, could this be Vin Diesel’s chance to finally play Inhuman royalty?

The MCU multiverse continues to grow and it looks like Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness is primed to be the biggest adventure yet. Loki broke the multiverse open, What If…? began exploring alternate universes, and Spider-Man: No Way Home set a precedent for some truly insane cameos bringing the Sony Spider-Man villains and heroes into the MCU like never before.

Now, it seems Doctor Strange will be contending with even more characters from the multiverse including at least one alternate version of himself, America Chavez, and based on leaks and rumors it seems he may be dealing with a multiverse version of the famed Illuminati. It seems the multiverse Illuminati may not be made up of the traditional members in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, although previous reports have indicated that Professor Xavier may be making an appearance as part of this group.

FandomWire reported that Black Bolt will likely make an appearance in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness as a part of the multiverse Illuminati, although they also reported that this cameo was part of the film before the reshoots that are rumored to have added even more cameos. Black Bolt is not only a member of the Inhuman royal family and the Illuminati in the comics he is also an extraordinarily powered individual.

Black Bolt has the ability to harness electrons, which is tied to the speech center of his brain. This manifests in Black Bolt’s voice causing a shock wave that can level a city, because of this Black Bolt has been trained not to speak or even make a sound when he sleeps, instead he communicates through sign language or via a spokesperson. Interestingly, FandomWire didn’t report who would be playing the powerful Inhuman in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.

WHO COULD PLAY BLACK BOLT IN DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS?

Some have assumed that Anson Mount could be reprising his role from the short-lived ABC series Inhumans, but how fun would it be if Marvel had a different surprise up their sleeve? With so many fan favorite actors rumored to be appearing the film, including Patrick Stewart as Professor Xavier, Marvel could bring in another fan favorite who has expressed great interest in playing Black Bolt.

Bloodshot Vin Diesel

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness could be the perfect way for Vin Diesel to finally have the chance to play Black Bolt after expressing interest in playing the character for years. When it was announced that the originally planned Inhumans movie had been cancelled and a television series was being created in its place Vin Diesel expressed his disappointment at Marvel abandoning their initial plans during an interview with Screen Rant in 2017. Diesel made it clear that he thinks the Inhumans corner of the MCU should be explored on the big screen lauding the ambitious epic saga that the story could be.

“I think Marvel should never—I don’t think Marvel should abandon their opportunity to make a film out of it. I think it could be a huge, huge saga, and if I had more time I would go over to Marvel and have that very conversation. But I think it would be a big mistake for Marvel to abandon their ambitions or their objective or their goals of making it into a film, because it would make such a cool universe.”

His passion for this corner of the MCU is clear and with the television series being swiftly cancelled the door is once again open for the Inhumans to potentially grace the big screen. With the Infinity Saga wrapped up and new Marvel characters like the Eternals, the Fantastic Four, and potentially mutants joining the MCU this seems the perfect time for the Inhumans to fully reach their potential.

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness seems like the perfect opportunity for Diesel to play Black Bolt because it allows for a number of possibilities in the long term. If Vin Diesel were to play Black Bolt, a member of the multiverse Illuminati, it would likely be one from another universe.

Black-Bolt-Inhumans

This means that Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness could be the one time that Vin Diesel plays the Inhuman royalty, building interest in these Marvel characters he loves, while the prime MCU Black Bolt is played by another actor in the future. Alternatively, it could be a way to test the waters with audiences and potentially set up Vin Diesel as the prime MCU’s Black Bolt, if he were to portray him in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.

With so many potential cameos Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness is the perfect place for Marvel to bring in fan favorites to portray characters that so many have been hoping to see in the MCU and on the big screen for years including Professor X, Black Bolt, and potentially Mr. Fantastic. Spider-Man: No Way Home proved how powerful these fan favorite cameos can be when used properly not only adding to the fans’ joy, but elevating the story with the characters history and interactions.
