Sword Art Online is one of anime’s most popular franchises. Based on the light novel series of the same name, Sword Art Online has become a worldwide phenomenon. The light novels have sold more than twenty-six million copies worldwide, and the anime series has received positive reviews among the fan community for its animation, music, and focus on virtual reality’s psychological aspects and dangers. The series setting focuses on a span of multiple virtual worlds, hence the title.

The series’ main protagonist, Kazuto “Kirito” Kirigaya, explored these worlds while meeting many unique and dangerous characters in his journey. Kirito is also one of anime’s most recognizable figures, and many fans of the series imagined or fantasized what a virtual world based on Sword Art Online would have been. Now, it looks like their virtual dream is becoming a reality.

It’s been announced that fans will have the unique opportunity to experience the world of Sword Art Online. Tickets are on sale now for the worldwide version of Sword Art Online –EX-CHRONICLE- Online Edition. The English version of the online event will be happening from February 21 to March 10.

Additionally, an online event exclusively in Japan will be held from November 20 to December 7, 2021. This particular online event will deliver virtual reality and other online experiences to Sword Art Online fans worldwide. The virtual experience will feature an immersive world view of the popular anime series, including multiple materials from the hit series. Online visitors will also have the ability to purchase exclusive merchandise for the event.

Enjoy a unique online experience in 360-degree virtual space as if you’ve dived into the world of SAO!
