Longtime fans of the Power Rangers franchise know that the 30th anniversary is approaching quickly. With the 30th anniversary comes various events and specials for Hasbro to celebrate this momentous occasion.
Recently, The Illuminerdi had the opportunity to sit down with Russell Curry and Chance Perez to discuss the 30th anniversary:
The Illuminerdi: We’re on the precipice of the 30th anniversary of this iconic show, that’s obviously gone on for 30 years. There’s so many rumors swirling around what could be happening, what might be happening, who could be coming back, who might be coming back. But let’s take all that away. What are the chances that you guys would want to reprise your roles of Zayto and Javier for the 30th anniversary? Because we’ve already had one giant epic Dino team up with the mighty Morphing Rangers, the Dino Charge Rangers, the Dino Thunder Rangers. It just seems to me that the Dino Fury Rangers, they should be a part of that too. Right? 30 years.
Chance Perez: I wouldn’t disagree with you. That would be great.
Russell Curry: Yeah. I mean, if you’re asking if we would want to do this again? I mean, no questions asked, who wouldn’t want to keep being a Power Rangers? That’s crazy. But yeah, I mean, there’s so many rumors, there’s so much out there. We have no idea. But yeah, we’ll just wait and see, man.
Russell Curry on What Power Rangers He Would Like To Team Up With
Russell Curry also mentioned some of the actors he would like to team up with if Dino Fury did show up during the 30th Anniversary:
The Illuminerdi: @TaraKip asks, if you could team up with any past ranger, who would you choose? We’ll go to you Russell.
Russell Curry: I want to say Jason and Tommy, let’s bring them both back. Yeah, we’re talking about a Dino team up, that would be epic.
There was recently a dino team-up featured in the second season of Power Rangers Beast Morphers which saw the Mighty Morphin, Dino Thunder, and Dino Charge Rangers team up to take down Goldar Maximus. It could be interesting to see the new Dino Fury Rangers join the mix and interact with some of the Ranger-veterans.

Unfortunately, this team-up may be impossible now as Austin St. John, who plays Jason, is currently in a legal battle and Jason David Frank, who plays Tommy, has recently stated that he is done with Power Rangers. However, it still would be cool to have the Dino Fury Rangers interact with some of the other dino-themed Rangers. It would be especially cool to see them team up with some of the Dino Thunder Rangers who did not return in person in Power Rangers Beast Morphers.
