Prime Video has made a major acquisition, securing the rights to three new DC animated Batman projects from Warner Bros. Animation. Prime Video has also ordered a two-seasons of Batman: Caped Crusader, produced by Warner Bros. Animation, Bad Robot Productions, and 6th & Idaho. Meanwhile, Merry Little Batman (MLB) is a new animated family action comedy that promises to become a classic holiday movie, joining the likes of Home Alone and It’s A Wonderful Life. The plot follows young Damian Wayne as he finds himself alone in Wayne Manor on Christmas Eve. He must transform into “Little Batman” in order to defend his home and Gotham City from the crooks and supervillains intent on destroying the holidays. With a screenplay by Morgan Evans and directed by Mike Roth, who also serves as executive producer, Merry Little Batman looks set to be a festive treat for Bat-fans of all ages.

Following the events of MLB, Bat-Family follows Bats, Alfred, and young Damian Wayne, who has now taken on the mantle of Little Batman, alongside a few newcomers to Wayne Manor, as they navigate the fun and frustrations of life as a super family. This spinoff series promises to bring a lighter, more comedic take on the Dark Knight, while still retaining the action and excitement that fans have come to expect from the franchise. Jase Ricci, Mike Roth, and Sam Register are set to executive produce the series, which is produced by Warner Bros. Animation.
