Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger has more details revealed from rumors regarding the 48th Sentai series. The rumors become more accurate as the reveal draws closer, but Rangerboard’s Dukemon has discovered information about the Ranger suits and colors, the Robo, and even the Henshin Device. These rumors suggest the team will be comprised of 5 core members consisting of Red, Blue, Pink, Black, and Orange. The Changer has also been teased to be a brace or watch, instead of a weapon like the previous 3 Sentai series.

It also reveals a debut order including the first 3, followed by the other two separately in later episodes. The format of debuts for the core team have also been mentioned to sync with the Robo of the series. This includes rumors that suggest two mecha will form a Robo as stated previously, but a bigger combination has been teased with a giant bus mecha allowing more to form a Robo. This has been compared to the PatKaiser from Lupinranger VS Patoranger, which uses a separate and undesignated mecha for a core formation.

Along with the watch Henshin device, another unconfirmed detail has been shared by Dukemon and Ben via X, suggesting that the Changer can be mounted on weapons. It also suggests a ‘Car Meter’ gimmick will be used, which points to a transformation position to activate. Details for the Ranger forms have also been teased in this chunk of rumors, which consist of a white-base color for each member, tires on the helmet, and a meter design on the chest. Follow-ups also reveal that the collectible gimmick may have been removed, with a potential mythical creature concept added later to the vehicle motif.

The team composition is an extremely interesting choice as Orange becomes a part of the core team for the first time. However, it could be argued that Sasori Orange from Kyuranger was the first as the core team consisted of 9 Rangers. This is similar to KingOhger breaking the mold as Purple was used as a core member of the team. The format of appearances is also reminiscent of GoOnger and Ryusoulger since both teams had only three debuts, with two added gradually.

The overall concept for the Ranger is teasing a refreshing new design as the use of white for the base color is an impactful choice. The use of a car meter and references to the wheel on the helmet ultimately sounds like GoOnger has been combined with Patoranger. It also suggests that the car meter on the chest might be an emblem for the team, with the car motif heavily influencing the design. The mecha that form the Robo also appear to be road-vehicle based, suggesting a closer match to Carranger or the main Robo from Turboranger.

Despite some inaccuracies before, Dukemon has addressed why past rumors suggested Purple and White were mixed up for KingOhger, revealing how easily designs can change before official release. It’s mind-blowing that Sentai will be using a wrist Changer since it was previously stated that weapon-based Changers were popular releases.

This appears to have been balanced by rumors of a weapon that allows the Changer to be attached, which will likely activate a range of sounds and effects. As more details begin to floor in, it won’t be long until fans finally get leaks and confirmation for the toys.

Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger is the upcoming 48th Super Sentai series coming in 2024. The new Toku release will debut after Ohsama Sentai KingOhger concludes, with the first official images of the new Sentai expected in December.

Anime is also a great passion with Digimon, That Time I Was Reincarnated As A Slime, and Demon Slayer being significant favorites. It was the love of both Power Rangers and Digimon that led to the path of becoming a Senior Writer for The Illuminerdi.
