Fans have been patiently waiting for official releases of the new Vehicle Sentai as Toei usually unleashes the first poster showing the next upcoming Sentai before Christmas. The first poster is often a massive teaser for the upcoming release, but grants fans the first look at the members of the Sentai that debut in the premiere episode.

Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger First Poster and Official Details Unleashed

The 48th Sentai poster finally reveals and confirms the core members of the new Sentai series, which showcases the vehicle motif for release on March 3, 2024. The poster features a Red, Blue, and Pink hero that confirms many rumors regarding the format of Boonboomger.

The Sentai members include a Wheel Trim as their visors, a seatbelt-inspired belt, and an F1 suit design for their suits, gloves, and boots. The poster also includes the first look at their Speedometer-like Changer and appears to include a convertible supercar, which could simply be a standalone vehicle.

This is such a brilliant reveal and already fans are noticing an aesthetic in the poster similar to the Fast & Furious franchise. The unusual tire-based helmets seem much like the retro toku designs seen in the 80s and 90s, but the suit has brilliant materials and details to complement the look. The features that stand out the most are the multi-detailed Changer, and the elegant gloves and belt, but we are most obsessed with the boots. This is due to an armored design, with a plate that extends from the shoe to cover the shin.

Some teased and hidden details are also shared in the poster, such as another wheel hidden behind BoonRed. A city is also teased in the background, which could be a major location teaser for the new Sentai series. As KingOhger went beyond with virtual locations and original concepts, something similar could be featured for the new Sentai series due to the success of the 47th Sentai. Aside from the different Trim visors, the Rangers also appear to have the same design so it will be interesting to see any variations from the upcoming new members.

Revealing Official Details & Character Profiles

The first Poster was also joined by the release of official webpages as TV Asahi finally unleashed details regarding Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger. This includes the choice of the vehicle theme due to the overwhelming popularity among children, with Kousoku Sentai Turboranger and Geksou Sentai Carranger used for comparison.

The upcoming theme for Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger has also been revealed to be called ‘Cars x Making’, with the 48th Sentai designed to attract fans from all generations. Details of the revealed members have also been shared as the trio featured on the poster are given revealing aspects of their character.

  • BunRed (ブンレッド) is always positive and has a passionate heart. He has the ability to see through the essence of things, has a strong competitive instinct, and leads the team by making quick decisions.
  • BunBlue (ブンブルー) is a reliable fighter with a high degree of professionalism, and while he is cool, he also has a passionate side that burns up the more the hurdles get higher.
  • BunPink (ブンピンク) is the mood maker for the team and is the type of person who is full of curiosity and energy. She brightens up the team with his emotional and innocent character.

Details regarding the format and arsenal of the Sentai team have also been teased on the official website. This includes the common weapon, the Boonboom Handle, which has a motif of a car steering wheel. It has also been revealed to have a wrench-shaped gun mode and a driver-shaped rod mode. Along with the Red supercar, other vehicles have been teased as they will be scheduled to appear ‘one after another’.

As part of the production team, Atsuhiro Tomioka (Pokémon, Battle Spirits) has been revealed as the scriptwriter, with Director Shojiro Nakazawa (Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger, Kamen Rider Geats). Also included in the team are previous suit actor, Jun Watanabe, as Action Director and Hiroshi Butsuda as the special effects director.

This is just the first wave of details revealed for the upcoming Sentai series and there is so much to look forward to seeing. Fans are expecting to see the toys in the next upcoming magazine released for Terebi-Kun. However, the most exciting release will be seeing the team in their first live-action trailer.

It will be amazing to finally see all these elements come together and see what the production team has in store for the audience. Many more reveals will be coming soon such as the meaning of ‘Bakuage’, the villains of the Sentai, and the cast, so there is still so much to tease before the premiere episode finally debuts.

Long time fan of Tokusatsu fan since Power Rangers was first released in the 90s. Whereas most Superhero fans grew up with DC Comics and Marvel, my childhood was surrounded by releases from Saban Entertainment such as Beetleborgs, along with anime, and other various fads of the generation. Anime is also a great passion with Digimon, That Time I Was Reincarnated As A Slime, and Demon Slayer being significant favorites. It was the love of both Power Rangers and Digimon that led to the path of becoming a Senior Writer for The Illuminerdi.
