UDON Entertainment announced this week a new partnership with Titan Comics for an exclusive variant cover for the upcoming Conan the Barbarian Issue #9 comic book. The new virgin variant cover comes from the acclaimed artist Ickpot.

The new issue with the exclusive variant cover is only available through the UDON Store. Fans and readers can reserve their copies today at the UDON Store. The new variant cover issue is available to pre-order now for $25 and is estimated to ship later this month.

THE ADVENTURES OF CONAN THE BARBARIAN CONTINUE

The comic is part of the epic relaunch of Conan the Barbarian comics by writer Jim Zub (Avengers, Dungeons & Dragons, Makeshift Miracle) and Rob de la Torre (Invincible Iron Man, King-Size Conan). The upcoming issue starts a new story arc and is said to be a good jumping-on point for new readers. You can get a look at the new comic artwork by Inkpot below:

The new comic book series features the sword-wielding Cimmerian, Conan, depicting his adventures years after the battle of Venarium. In the new series, a weary Conan returns to his homeland, seeking rest and solitude. However, a mysterious court arrives and warns the Cimmerians of an imminent threat on the march from the Pictish wilderness. Conan now has to face a new horde of invaders with a new ally.

It’s nice to see the latest comic book series for Conan getting such support from UDON and Titan Comics. The new variant cover by Inkpot looks incredible and perfectly in line with Robert E. Howard’s pulp hero. Conan the Barbarian has a long history in comics, so it’s great to see that tradition continue with this series.
