Knives Out Plot For Those Who Missed Out
When renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) is found dead at his estate just after his 85th birthday, the inquisitive and debonair Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) is mysteriously enlisted to investigate. The movie was very successful, easily becoming a box office hit and washing away any stigma (earned or otherwise) from Johnson’s The Last Jedi. Knives Out was loved by audiences and critics alike, eventually being nominated for several awards including Best Original Screenplay at this year’s Academy Awards. The two leads, Daniel Craig and Ana De Armas, both got nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actor and Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical.
Aside from being written and directed by Rian Johnson, the movie boasted a powerful ensemble cast including not just Christopher Plummer, Daniel Craig and Ana De Armas, but also Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, LaKeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford, and Jaeden Martell.
