After the epic conclusion of The Mandalorian Season 2, and the tease of The Book of Boba Fett, there was some confusion among fans about what was what, and what was coming next.
When Jon Favreau and Lucasfilm later clarified that The Book Of Boba Fett was its own stand-alone spin-off series set to debut on Disney+ this December, it was clear that Mandalorian Season 3 would be delayed.
Production of Season 3 of The Mandalorian Begins…
Now, production listings through the Film and Television Industry Alliance has set a shoot date for The Mandalorian Season 3 for April 5th 2021!
Now if The Mandalorian begins production during the first half of 2021, it’s fair to assume we will likely get the series in the first quarter of 2022.
Lucasfilm has confirmed that besides The Book of Boba Fett, Star Wars fans will also be getting The Bad Batch and Star Wars: Visions this year. Bad Batch continues the story of the rag tag clone squadron introduced in Clone Wars Season 7 and Visions is an anthology series consisting of 10 anime-inspired short films.
With this update regarding The Mandalorian’s start date, we can likely expect the third season to debut in 2022, alongside Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
