Power Rangers Dino Fury is finally here and it has introduced us to the series’ latest villain, Void Knight. The villain seems to have some mysterious origins teased in the first episode.
In the episode, when Zayto confronts Void Knight, he asks him where he stole the armor. Void Knight replies, “Doesn’t matter, it’s mine now!”, then proceeds to attack.
This exchange implies that the armor does not initially belong to Void Knight and Zayto somehow knows who the original wearer was.
Void Knight’s Connection to Zayto’s Past
Considering Zayto knew that the armor didn’t belong to Void Knight, that means that the armor was around at the same time as Zayto’s original team. Who could the armor belong to?
It is possible that the armor belonged to another villain from Zayto’s time, but since Zayto said the armor was stolen I doubt that Void Knight stole the armor from another villain. It is possible, but I think it seems more likely that the armor was stolen from another ancient hero.

The only problem with this theory is the fact that there was no Purple Ranger seen on Zayto’s original team. With this, we can assume that whoever the original wearer was, they probably weren’t on Zayto’s team. At least they weren’t originally.
Another question is what could Void Knight/the armor have to do with the rumored Brown Ranger? In Dino Fury’s source material (Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger) the Brown Ranger has heavy ties to Gaisoulg (Void Knight). Only time will tell as the season progresses.
