Superman

Superman The Animated Series was one of the most successful cartoons of the 1990s. Following the success of Batman: The Animated Series, Superman TAS replicated the success by introducing a larger-than-life hero, great supporting characters, and even greater villains to the DC Animated Universe.

Now, the entire series is available in High Definition on Blu-ray from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, and fans of the show can relive the magic all over again with upscaled visuals, crew commentaries, and special features.

Should You Buy Superman The Animated Series: The Complete Series?

Superman The Animated Series is without a doubt one of the greatest animated superhero series to this day. After all these years the series still holds up even without the upscaled visuals seen in this Blu-ray release. However, does this make it right for you?

This release was made with the hard-core Superman The Animated Series fans in mind. So, if you grew up watching the show and want to learn more about the special features this is definitely right for you. Even if you are just a Superman fan and somehow have yet to see the show I would still recommend you pick this up for the special features alone as they really go into the history of the character in and out of the show.

So, if you are just curious about the show or you aren’t into the special features I would say the version on HBO Max will do you just fine.
