Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness rumored to include an appearance by Inhuman Black Bolt, as a member of the Illuminati.
Marvel is fully leaning into the multiverse, first introducing it in Loki and further exploring it in What If…?, but Spider-Man: No Way Home proved to be the true success of the Marvel multiverse. The inclusion of fan favorite characters like Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, and even Jamie Foxx as Electro proved the true capacity of multiversal shenanigans and by all accounts it seems like Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness is going to be even crazier.
Based on the trailer it seems Doctor Strange’s own actions in both Spider-Man: No Way Home and the actions of the Avengers in Endgame may be leading to the fragile ties that hold reality and the multiverse together to deteriorate. Based on multiple rumors it looks like Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness will be even more insane than Spider-Man: No Way Home in regards to cameos with reshoots reportedly adding even more characters.
Rumors have circulated that some of these cameos will include a multiverse version of the infamous Marvel team, The Illuminati. There have been many rumors about who will be a part of this multiverse Illuminati with fuel added to this fire by leaked pre viz images of what appears to be Patrick Stewart as Professor Xavier. Now, it looks like another member of the group may have been revealed.
RUMORED MULTIVERSE ILLUMINATI IN DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS MAY INCLUDE BLACK BOLT
According to FandomWire it looks like the Inhuman Black Bolt is likely to make an appearance in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness as a member of the Illuminati. FandomWire also reports that this cameo was a part of the film long before the recent reshoots. It is unclear whether Anson Mount will reprise his role as Black Bolt from the short-lived ABC series, Inhumans.
Black Bolt aka Blackagar Boltagon is the ruler of Atillan and a part of the Inhumans royal family as well as an eventual member of the Illuminati. Black Bolt has the ability to harness electrons, which is tied to the speech center of his brain. This manifests in Black Bolt’s voice causing a shock wave that can level a city, because of this Black Bolt has been trained not to speak or even make a sound when he sleeps, instead he communicates through sign language or via a spokesperson.
