Star Wars: Colin Trevorrow’s Episode IX Leaked Script Might Have Been Better Than ‘The Rise Of Skywalker’

Fans have gotten hold of what appears to be leaks from Colin Trevorrow's vision of Star Wars: Episode IX, which would have been called the Duel of the Fates.
Duel of the Fates

Preparing For The Final Battle

C-3P0 and R2-D2

Leia is recruits Lando to organize the smugglers to take the fight to the First Order. In the meantime, Rey and Kylo end up on Mortis. Rose escapes being tortured by the First Order and rejoins her friends. Rose clearly had more to do in Duel of the Fates. On the ground in Coruscant, C-3P0, R2-D2, and Finn start an uprising from the citizen there.

The Final Battle Begins

Kylo Ren vs. Rey

Leia brings the fight to Coruscant taking the battle to the air and the sky. We don’t know what happened to the Millenium Falcon but Chewie pilots an X-Wing. This would have been an all-out assault. Rey and Kylo would have battled on Mortis, using The Force to push each other around. Here, we would have seen Force Ghost of Luke, Obi-Wan, and Yoda. Kylo would have revealed to Rey that he killed her parents at the behest of Supreme Leader Snoke. During the battle, Kylo would have “extinguished:” his power and would have died. Clearly there was no redemption story arc here.

This Is The End Of The Skywalker Saga

All in all, we’d have seen the Resistance rise up and defeat the First Order and Harrison Ford would still have made a cameo as Han Solo to confront his son. Trevorrow’s story is a lot different from the one Abrams and Terrio gave us but do you think it’s better? We’re hoping more information comes out regarding the Trevorrow script and when it does we’ll have it right here, at The Illuminerdi for you.
