Seeing these get revealed was definitely a pleasant surprise this morning. These announcements were definitely a shock to us and I couldn’t be happier with the figures they chose to reveal!
Hasbro’s Surprise Lightning Collection Drop Doesn’t Disappoint
Now, let’s go ahead and break down all of the stuff Hasbro ended up announcing today for the Lightning Collection. Because, as you can tell: it’s a lot.
Starting off with the Putty Patroller two-pack, I think this is a very welcome addition to the Lighting Collection. Obviously, we already got a Putty Patroller in the Fighting Spirit Tommy/Putty Patroller two-pack back in July of last year. However, since then, fans have been wanting a pack of just Putty Patrollers so they more easily increase their army of without having to buy ten versions of Tommy. This two-pack with retail for $29.99.
Moving on to Psycho Green: I mean, come on. It was only a matter of time before we got a figure of this guy, and that time has finally come. Psycho Green will come with his Psycho Dagger, an effect piece, and an extra set of hands. It would have been cool to get a head sculpt for Trek, but the figure still looks awesome nonetheless. The figure retails for $19.99.

Next, my favorite of the bunch simply because of how weird and unexpected it is: the Zordon and Alpha two-pack. The two-pack comes with an Alpha 5 figure, alongside a hilarious looking Zordon figure that will actually light up. The pack also comes with a teddy bear accessory for Alpha 5. This two-pack retails for $29.87.
Lastly, the one I’m sure everyone is talking about: the Lightning Collection Power Morpher. While not as shiny as the Bandai Legacy Collection version of the Morpher, this collectible seems like a great addition to Hasbro’s Lighting Collection. The Power Morpher will also only retail for $49.99 and comes with a set of die-cast coins and a stand to display it on.
