The Bad Batch is just over halfway through its first season with 9 out of the 16 episodes available now on Disney Plus. The exciting mid-season trailer has been released and includes a sneak peak of what’s to come in the latter half of season 1 of this exciting Star Wars adventure.
The Bad Batch follows Clone Force 99, who were introduced in the final season of The Clone Wars, as they try to survive in a post Clone War galaxy. As the Empire takes over and begins its rise to the galactic power that Star Wars fans know, the Bad Batch is trying to stay off their radar while making enough credits for basic supplies working for Cid, a Trandoshan Cantina owner and former ally of the Jedi. The trailer highlights some of the major plot points from the series so far that will undoubtedly be a huge part of the rest of the season.
Check out the trailer below:
The Empire sent Crosshair after the Bad Batch when they not only disobeyed orders, but absconded with another enhanced clone, the young Omega. And Omega herself is a target as well, with bounty hunters tracking her down more than once. The sneak peak showed scene from episode 9 when Omega had been captured by Clone Wars fan favorite Cad Bane, but was also the target for another bounty hunter, Fennec Shand, who Omega and the Bad Batch had a run in with earlier in the season.

The Bad Batch has managed to bring in a number of fan favorites not only from Clone Wars, the series predecessor, but other beloved Star Wars properties as well. With characters like Cad Bane, Fennec Shand, Saw Gerrera, a young Caleb Dume who is better known as Kana Jarrus and Rex making appearances there has been no shortage of jaw dropping guest stars and hopefully more are to come with the rest of the season.
And while most of the scenes were from the first 8 episodes, there were a few sneak peaks. Fennec’s return in episode 9 was teased in the trailer before the episode dropped, but even more intriguing is it looks like the Bad Batch is taking the offensive against the Empire.

In the teaser it looks like the Empire is attacking a planet with Stormtroopers and walkers, but the Bad Batch isn’t far behind stalking the encroaching force. It also looks like the team will attack the troopers with Echo riding down a zipline and firing a blaster stun at a Stormtrooper.
Could this be teasing the Bad Batch choosing to become a part of the Rebellion, like their old friend Captain Rex and Ahsoka’s allies, Rafa and Trace Martez? The trailer seems to point to this possibility using one of Rafa’s lines about everyone choosing a side in the end. Although there are many reasons they could be going after the Empire, maybe they are tired of running and want to take the fight to them, perhaps this is a job the team is doing for Cid, or maybe this has to do with Omega who appears to be suspiciously absent from this attack.
Whatever is in store for the rest of the season it’s sure to be a blast with many storylines left to continue with Crosshair, the rise of the Empire, Rex and the Rebellion, the Kamioans chasing down Omega as they lose their power in the new Empire, and so many more. The second half of The Bad Batch looks to be even more action packed and exciting than the first.
