The great concept artist Wesley Burt has recently been sharing some of the work he did for Loki and the Avengers films on his Instagram page.
Earlier today he shared a family portrait of the Loki variants with some great shots at Classic Loki, Kid Loki, and of course Alligator Loki.
Burt captioned the post:
Loki was a truly wonderful project to work on, I have heaps of concept art of all sorts for it & hopefully will get to show more in the future, but for now, this Loki trio! As always many thanks to @ryan_meinerding_art for having me on the team & all the creative folks at Marvel.
#ClassicLoki was so much fun to imagine, especially when I got word that the great @richard.e.grant was going to step into the role.
#KidLoki was a perfect opportunity as well to do some great tributes to the comic books and their designs, I wanted to stick to the source material as much as possible with these two.
and everyone’s favorite, the very handsome #AlligatorLoki , here with Tom’s blue eyes
Loki Variant Concept Art
The mention of Alligator Loki having Tom Hiddleston’s blue eyes is a fun reminder of the Loki episode of Assembled, where director Kate Herron recalled telling her vfx team that the alligator needed to be “very handsome with beautiful eyes.”
Additionally, here’s a poster of President Loki which Burt posted just before Loki premiered in June.
What do you think of Burt’s gorgeous Loki artwork? What Marvel project would you like to more concept art from? Let us know on our social media!
