Cruella-Disney

Cruella DeVil is considered one of Disney’s most iconic Villains. The villain made her appearance in the 1958 Children’s Novel ‘One Hundred and One Dalmatians‘ written by Dodie Smith. The novel became an instant classic and in return got adapted into an animated film produced by Disney on January 25th, 1961. Then a couple decades later in 1996, Disney made a live adaptation of the animated hit and it starred award-winning actress Glenn Close playing the role. The 1996 live-action film was hugely successful and was able to garner a sequel 102 Dalmatians in 2000 with Close reprising the role of Cruella.

She befriends a pair of young thieves who appreciate her appetite for mischief, and together they are able to build a life for themselves on the London streets. One day, Estella’s flair for fashion catches the eye of the Baroness von Hellman, a fashion legend who is devastatingly chic and terrifyingly haute, played by two-time Oscar® winner Emma Thompson (“Howard’s End,” “Sense and Sensibility”). But their relationship sets in motion a course of events and revelations that will cause Estella to embrace her wicked side and become the raucous, fashionable, and revenge-bent Cruella.
