Game Of Thrones fans, specifically Targaryen fans, have a new series on the horizon to be excited for. House Of The Dragon takes place about 200 years before the events of Game Of Thrones. House Of The Dragon won’t go all the way back to Aegon’s Conquest when the House of Targaryen took control of Westeros and created the Iron Throne.
The prequel will instead focus on the beginning of the end for the House of Targaryen. House Of The Dragon is an opportunity to explore House Targaryen at the height of their power with numerous dragon riders, and tons of dragons, as opposed to Daenys Targaryen’s three.

House Of The Dragon is based on George R. R. Martin’s 2018 novel Fire & Ice. The series takes place during the reign of King Viserys I Targaryen who famously broke long-standing tradition and named his daughter, Princess Rhaenyra, his heir even after he had a son, Aegon II. Following King Viserys death, Aegon II challenged Rhaenyra for the throne leading to the Targaryen civil war that divided Westeros, known as “Dance of the Dragons.”
NEW HOUSE OF THE DRAGON LEAKED PHOTO
A new photo has been leaked from filming for the upcoming Game Of Thrones prequel, The House Of The Dragon. The photo was leaked on Twitter by @HOTDBr and the tweet says, “New image of House of the Dragon recordings has just been leaked in Aldershot.”
The image doesn’t offer a good look at any of the known main cast, but what is notable is the grand tent that boasts the House of Targaryen crest. The image not only features the tent with the House of Targaryen crest on a flag and above the entrance, but numerous people on horses wearing the expected Game Of Thrones style costumes.
