Amazon has officially revealed the title for its highly anticipated Lord of the Rings series: The Rings of Power.

The series has been in production for a long time, and it holds the record as the most expensive TV show of all time. Anticipation has never been higher and fans are electric about the first teaser of the show, which showcased plenty more than just the new title.

The Lord of the Rings Comes To Amazon

The show is officially titled The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The teaser features a voice over by Galandriel and confirms that the story takes place during Middle Earth’s second age, thousand of years before the classic films. The people of that time saw the rise of Sauron and his eventual defeat at the hands of the Last Alliance of Elves and Men.

IGN also released a behind the scenes video that showcases how this teaser was created and celebrates the use of practical effects.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has already been renewed for Season 2. The first Season hits Amazon Prime Video September 2, 2022.The huge ensemble cast is lead by Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Nazanin Boniadi and Tom Budge.
