Marvel is going full tilt into the craziness of the multiverse with the newest trailer for Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness. With the multiverse being kicked wide open thanks to Loki and Strange breaking it further in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it looks like the Sorcerer will have a lot on his plate in the newest MCU film.

The trailer is chock full of excitement, with Wanda confronting Strange in full Scarlet Witch regalia and the familiar voice of a certain famous professor fans are eager to see the upcoming Marvel Studios film. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness is also introducing America Chavez aka Ms. America into the MCU. America Chavez is a young superhero who is able to kick star shaped portals open into different realities allowing herself and others to travel throughout the multiverse.

The new The Multiverse Of Madness trailer teases a lot of exciting multiversal insanity including Strange coming across more than one variant of himself. However, the trailer also features a blink and you miss it shot which could be teasing an unexpected world for Strange to visit in his multiversal adventure.

DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS TRAILER FEATURES A WORLD OF…ANIMATION?

The glimpse at a world through the star shaped portal looks to be a style of animation that the MCU has not yet explored. This style of animation could potentially tie into something like the X-Men ’97 animated series or even an old school Marvel animated series like the 60s Spider-Man animated series.

Interestingly this is not the animation style of the MCU’s animated series What If…? which uses a CGI design rather than hand drawn. There is always the possibility that this is simply a place holder so Marvel studios can keep their cards close to the vest. With a trailer and poster full of exciting revelations the mystery of what exactly Marvel is holding back becomes even more compelling.

Many are expecting Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness to tie into the MCU’s first animated series, What If…? A new Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness poster hints at Captain Carter and the trailer seems to include a zombified Doctor Strange. However, it seems likely that these potential crossovers will bring the animated characters into the world of live action while the glimpse through the portal looks to still be animated. The possibility of Doctor Strange not only visiting an animated world, but an entirely new one opens the door to a ton of exciting possibilities.

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness could prove to be even more insane than Spider-Man: No Way Home which featured cameos from both live action Sony Spider-Man universes. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness seems primed to feature countless of amazing cameos, but a truly thrilling story with Strange confronting the consequences of his own actions and Wanda going full Scarlet Witch. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness could prove to be Marvel’s biggest film yet and the possibility of an animated world coming into play could make this adventure even more exhilarating.
