In this episode of We’re Always Watching Kevin Fenix, one of our editors, Josh Goldman, head of Twitch, and Jezzer, of The Illuminerdi’s Ranger Wrap Up, are digging into the newest installment of the Jurassic Park franchise Jurassic World: Dominion. The new Jurassic World movie is set four years after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and dinosaurs are living among people across the globe. Jurassic World: Dominion not only stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing, but it also features the return of Jurassic Park stars Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill reprising their roles as Dr. Ellie Sattler, Dr. Ian Malcolm, and Dr. Alan Grant respectively.
During this episode of We’re Always Watching Kevin, Josh, and Jezzer talk about their own experiences with the Jurassic Park franchise noting callbacks to the original in the new movie and why they believe the negative reviews for it are unjust. Jurassic World: Dominion brings the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World trilogies together with the iconic characters from each coming together in an exciting new adventure, in this episode the guys talk about how Dominion brings the franchise full circle potentially being the perfect bookend.

One of the most iconic parts of Jurassic Park is the legendary score that John Williams created, but Jurassic World: Dominion brought in another legendary composer to take the reigns, Michael Giacchino, the guys talk about the music of the franchise comparing the work of the two composers. With so many franchises bringing back legacy characters Kevin, Josh, and Jezzer discuss whether this helps or hurts the story while also digging into why they think the original Jurassic Park movies were more horror influenced than the Jurassic World trilogy.
Jurassic World: Dominion is currently in theaters. Get your tickets now and see why the “critics” (them kind of critics that tend to not like Finn, Reva, Turning Red, Ms. Marvel, etc.) are wrong.
