Bron Breakker Recalls Valuable Lessons Learned From Veterans And Not Being Called Up Yet

Bron Breakker looks back at the valuable lessons he learned working a WWE European tour earlier in his career.
WWE Bron Breakker,

WWE NXT Superstar Bron Breakker recently spoke about not being disappointed he hasn’t been called up yet and how important learning from Veterans was during a European tour. Breakker has proven himself as one of the top wrestlers in NXT.  It is very apparent that he is destined to be a big star in the very near future.  Everyone who works with Breakker has very positive words about him and his future in wrestling.

One of his biggest fans happens to be his boss in NXT, Shawn Michaels. Breakker has only been wrestling in WWE since early 2021 and has become a very fast learner in that short time.

In a recent interview with Under the Ring, the former NXT Champion may have revealed why he has picked things up so quickly.  Earlier in his NXT run, he had an opportunity to wrestle and learn from some very experienced veterans during a European tour. He stated the following:

“That was such a cool experience for me. I had so much fun, just being in the locker room and just being around main roster talent. That was such an honor for me to be part of that. So fun. It was just so cool and, like you said [podcast host Phil Strum], I got to wrestle Sami Zayn [and] Tommaso Ciampa, you know, these great superstars. I got to be around all these great superstars backstage and whatnot. That’s probably something I’ll never forget.

“I learned so much in the five days that we worked, and I can’t thank those guys enough for, I can’t remember what it was, maybe three or four months of experience, period at that point. I can’t really remember, but basically, not very much experience. And the way they took me along under their wing and just kind of helped me out, gave me the pointers, and were just so nice, so giving, and just so professional. It was awesome.”

BRON BREAKKER ON BEING NEW BUT NOT GREEN

The tour took place in November 2021 and the opening night saw Breakker take on Tommaso Ciampa who was the NXT champion at the time.  On the following dates, Sami Zayn was added to the match, and Breakker got to wrestle the then-current NXT Champion.

Breakker is no stranger to wrestling main-roster opponents at this point in his career.  In early 2022, he had a feud with Dolph Ziggler, which saw his first title reign end at the hands of Ziggler.

Most recently Breakker challenged Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship.  Rollins accepted and went down to NXT.  They went to war with Breakker which saw Rollins deliver two Stomps just to put him away for the three count.

Breakker by all accounts seems to be ready to get called up to the main roster, but for some reason, he has not yet received the call.  Many wrestlers would be disappointed not to be called up even though they are ready, but not Breakker. On an episode of Cheap Heat, he talked about his thoughts on being called up. Breakker stated:

“No, there’s no disappointment or anything. Me being a heel now is the best thing that I’ve done. I’m having so much fun. It’s more natural for me. This is just such a better version of me. I’m having the time of my life right now. I’m not worried about whether I’m going up, I’m getting drafted. That’s just not something I worry about or think about. When my time comes, it’ll come. That’s it.”

WHEN WILL WWE CALL UP BRON BREAKKER TO THE MAIN ROSTER?

Bron Breakker is undoubtedly going up to the main roster, and I doubt we will have to wait much longer.  One would likely expect it as some kind of surprise debut at a premium live event.  SummerSlam is coming and will be the next PLE after Money in the Bank.  A run-in after a match to start a feud would be a great way to debut Bron Breakker on the main roster.

Maybe Bron Breakker could even be the guy to beat Roman Reigns for his championship. That would be a major debut and statement for the Superstar by ending Reigns’ generational title run.

Do you think Bron Breakker is ready for the main roster?  Why hasn’t he been called up yet?  Is he missing something?  What is the missing piece which is keeping him in NXT?  Who do you think should be his first feud on the main roster?  Let us know if you think he is or should be the guy to beat Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on The Illuminerdi’s social media.
