BOONBOOMGER: 2 more Heroes, New Teaser, 1st Wave Toys, and Press Conference Date Revealed

Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger Reveals other team members and the full range of upcoming features with a special teaser!

Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger has revealed a greater look at the upcoming 48th Sentai series, featuring the first teaser trailer, 2 more members, and the Car Series line. Boon Orange and Boon Black have finally been revealed, showcasing the key details that differentiate them from the main trio. The Car series mecha have also been revealed in greater definition, including the main Robo that is formed by three specific vehicles. The first wave of toys has also been revealed, confirming many rumored features for the new 2024 Sentai. 

Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger was revealed to feature 3 heroes as the main part of the 48th Sentai team. Two other additions were previously rumored and leaked to have unique designs compared to the trio, with similarities to the Gouraiger duo in Ninpu Sentai Hurricanger. The colors revealed for the 2024 team were also revealed to be Red, Blue, Pink, Black, and Orange, which is a color combination last seen for the Sentai series, Battle Fever J. The Car Series was revealed to be the new mecha line, featuring a range of land-based vehicles like those seen for Turboranger and Carranger.

A burst of reveals has been featured for the upcoming 48th Sentai series as Bandai and Toei unleash many previews for Boonboomger. The latest posters gave the first look at the full Robo and the Car series mecha but also granted the first true look at Boon Orange and Boon Black. These two have distinct features including siren-based left-shoulder armor and even a distinct tire that links them to their vehicles. This confirms that the police and builder vehicles are directly linked to both new members, giving them details for their motifs. 

First Teaser Trailer  

The first live-action teaser trailer has been unleashed, granting fans the first look at the incredible Car Series mecha that feature. The teaser trailer was unavailable to watch outside of Japan but grants a fantastic display of the whole wave of vehicles used by the Sentai.

The highlights include Boon Trailer as a lorry-class vehicle that can become the Robo and a special gate that causes the other to transform for combination. The sets are also revealed to be Boonboom Off-Road and Boonboom Wagon for Blue and Pink, a police car and SWAT van for Black, Digger and shovel machines for Orange, and another set for representing classic vehicles held by Boonboom Red.

What is also displayed during the trailer are logos that represent what each pair of vehicles becomes when it transforms. Plus, 3 more pairs can also be seen in the collection shot, which has yet to be revealed. There was also a great sneak preview of the unique siren-based Car Meter that belongs to Boon Orange and Boon Black. This reveals that their Changer will have the same detachable gimmick seen for the trio.

The definition and preview of use for the various vehicles in the Sentai trailer was a perfect demonstration of quality seen for Lupinranger VS Patoranger, with the gimmicks of each vehicle highlighted. We also got a sneak preview of their foes, with more exciting reveals expected to debut in the next trailer. 

1st Wave Toy Reveals

The Boonboom Changer, Boonboom Handle, and the Boonboom Robo with Car Series have been fully revealed by Bandai. This includes a full preview of all the features, with the official Bandai YouTube showing the role-play and Car Series lines. A great number of rumored features from RangerBoard and Dukemon can now be confirmed, including the car meter detachment that can be placed on the weapon, Robo, or even with the Car series vehicles for new sounds. The duos also were revealed to grant the Robo a new head as the Police car, Digger, and even the sports car form attached to the top of the mecha for a new head. 

A new Boonboom vehicle is also revealed to be a limited item that comes with the set purchased. The Boonboom Super Car (Bakuage Ver.) will be available for those who purchase the set, with limited stock. The set includes the Boonboom Changer and Boonboom Robo, allowing fans to grab both deluxe releases at once, with an incentive bonus. Many of the features are highlighted for the toys, including the gateway mode seen in the trailer activating the transformation of the various cars.

The Robo also has many locations in which the Car Series additions can be attached, a teaser of bigger combinations to come. 

Press Conference Upcoming! Date Revealed 

The press conference date has been revealed, which will feature the appearance of the cast and an even better look at the upcoming series. The stars of the upcoming series will be unveiled during the event, with a greater preview expected.

The press conference for Boonboomger will be held on Sunday, February 18th from 10:00 am JST on Toei Tokusatsu YouTube Official, TTFC (Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club), video distribution platform “TELASA”, and TV Asahi Super Hero Time YouTube channel. The theme of the series has already been revealed to be performed by Masaaki Endo, which will be part of the upcoming conference.

There is so much to look forward to for the 48th Sentai series and the first preview only grants a look at the whole Car Series. This means fans will likely be treated to a first look at the Sentai in action during the upcoming Press Conference. The Black and Orange members have brilliant details, with their tires making their helmets even better than the trio. This toy line also debuts fantastic items and features, with each car perfectly retaining its look, while becoming an awesome weapon to wield.

The Police and Builder sets will be a brilliant addition to the line, with the SWAT van that splits into two guns among the best concepts so far. There is still so much yet to be revealed and it’s a real shame that the latest Super Sentai releases are only available in Japan. This is going to be a brilliant Sentai that is sure to gain favor among the fandom, but it will be amazing to finally see the cast, transformation sequence, and theme finally debut. 

Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger will hold the press conference on February 18, 2024, at 10 am JST. The event will be live-streamed on Toei Tokusatsu YouTube Official, TTFC (Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club), video distribution platform “TELASA”, and the TV Asahi Super Hero Time YouTube channel

The new releases from the 48th Sentai have revealed their release date, which includes the following for all revealed lines. 

  • DX Boonboom Changer & DX Boonboom Handle – Releasing March 2, 2024 
  • The Red Boonboom Super Car will be an in-store promotional item in Japan, which may be available at select Tokusatsu stores. 
  • DX Boonboom Robo – Releasing March 2, 2024 and will contain Boonboom Trailer, Boonboom Offroad, and Boonboom Wagon. 
  • A set containing the DX Changer and DX Boonboom Robo will also be available, with the Boonboom Super Car (Bakuage Ver.) included while stocks last. 
  • The Police Set and Builder Set will be released separately on April 6, 2024. 
  • The Classic Set will be released on April 20, 2024.  

Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger will premiere on March 3, 2024, with a new episode airing every Sunday. The series will air exclusively in Japan on TV Asahi and will broadcast at 9:30 am JST.
