Jim Starlin, the co-creator of Marvel’s Thanos, thinks that the Mad Titan is going to reappear in one of the upcoming MCU movies.
Thanos is one of the most interesting villains within the Marvel Cinematic Universe and in all of modern cinema. Although his story in the MCU seemingly came to a close in Avengers: Endgame, there is a chance that we might see him again on the big screen.
Jim Starlin On The Cinematic Future of Thanos
In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Jim Starlin stated:
“Well, I understand that the story’s not completely ended. They’ve already announced that. I think a young Thanos appears in The Eternals. I remember reading that somewhere.”

It’s almost guaranteed that he’s referring to an old rumor, which suggest that we are going to see some of the Mad Titan’s history in the upcoming The Eternals movie. These scenes were planned for Avengers: Infinity War, but ultimately got scrapped.
Starlin continues:
“They made a shit load of money off this guy. So I don’t see them retiring him anytime soon. Comic book characters tend to have an extended lifespan beyond the actors who work on them. I’m half expecting to see much more Thanos down the line.”
It seems likely that we are going to see Thanos again at some point in the MCU. Possibly in The Eternals, or maybe in a Disney+ series involving time travel like Disney+’s Loki.
