In a recent interview, Man of Steel actor Henry Cavill expressed his enthusiasm for Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut.
Zack Snyder’s vision of the Justice League movie is finally going to be bestowed upon fans next year. Last month it was announced that the Zack Snyder’s Justice League, aka the Snyder Cut, is officially coming to HBO Max streaming platform in 2021.
After Zack Snyder’s departure from the project due to a family tragedy, director Joss Whedon came on board to finish the film and Warner Brothers reshot the majority of the movie. The movie suffered terrible reviews and didn’t meet the studio’s expectations at the box office. When asked about how much of his cut made it into the theatrical version, Snyder said “You probably saw one-fourth of what I did…”.

Dissatisfied with the theatrical cut of the movie and upset over how WB treated the project following Snyder’s departure, the fans started rooting for Snyder’s cut of the movie to be released. After years of fighting for the movie from both fans, cast and crew the true vision of Zack Snyder is going to see the light of day in 2021.
Henry Cavill Talks The Snyder Cut
In Variety’s Actors on Actors issue with Picard star Patrick Stewart, Henry Cavill confessed he doesn’t know much about the Snyder Cut. However, he expressed his joy on the original cut reaching fans after the long campaign.
Patrick Stewart asked The Witcher star if there’s anything that he could share about the re-edited movie. Henry Cavill responded:
“Oh the Snyder Cut, the famous-slash-infamous-slash- all-sorts-of-things Snyder Cut, I can’t really tell you anything aside from the fact that all I know is that HBO Max will be releasing it, I believe, and it’ll be Zack’s final vision for the movie, and I don’t know anything more than that.”
“I’m just really happy that Zack got to realize his vision,” Cavill continued. “I think it’s important for a filmmaker and a storyteller to have their intended vision released and shown to the world, and I’m looking forward to seeing it myself. It’s been quite the ordeal.”
Stewart asked for Cavill to elaborate on the Snyder Cut to which he said,
“With ‘Justice League’ when it came, there was a mix of visions and the movie wasn’t well-received. And then over the subsequent years, there was a big push to see the fabled Snyder Cut. And now that time has come, and I think it’s going to be very enjoyable to watch Zack finally release his version.”
