Over the summer it was announced that Hasbro would be releasing a special Power Rangers Lightning Collection figure for the iconic MMPR monster, Pudgy Pig. Back when he was shown off there was a bit of fandom distaste seen when the figure, originally reported to cost $44.99 would actually end up being $57.99.
He was finally put up for pre-order following the Hasbro Pulse Con 2021 event a few weeks ago, despite members of the Power Rangers brand team claiming he would not be a pre-order but rather be in stock.
Luckily for those who did not want to shell out the nearly $60 for this classic pig, it looks like you won’t have to. This morning a listing was found on Target.com for a retail version of Pudgy Pig only to cost $31.49, the same price as other regular Monster releases for the line.
Pudgy Pig Eats His Way Into The Lightning Collection
Compared to the Hasbro Pulse Con Convention version up for pre-order right now this new version will be lacking the lunchbox style box seen in the initial release along with missing the food accessories included with him. This new version will still be coming with his fork and knife, swappable hands, and a lightning effect piece, as well as feature the typical artwork on the outside of the box from series illustrator Tom Whalen.
