The MCU is amazingly complicated. So many plotlines to juggle, so many films and TV series to watch. So many actors to keep track of. How do Kevin Feige and the Marvel Studios Parliament juggle it all? Well, to be fair, they probably have a Google Calendar or something. But truth is, hardly anyone can keep track of it all.

It seems like a new Marvel project is releasing every month. In March 2022, we’ll have Moon Knight. In May, She-Hulk and Doctor Strange 2. In July, Ms. Marvel and Thor. Later in the year, there will be Black Panther, Secret Invasion, I Am Groot….Wait, let’s circle back to Black Panther.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is a delay-riddled film. Originally scheduled to debut on May 6, 2022, the film was pushed to July 8, 2022 following the news that actor Chadwick Boseman had passed away. Intended to headline the film, Boseman’s passing shocked the industry. Now, with the film set to release in under 2 years, there had to be a whole new cast and script for the film. In October 2021, the film was pushed again following developments that Letitia Wright had sustained severe injuries whilst performing a stunt. Thankfully, Wright is back, and the film is able to start production again. Hopefully it will meet its scheduled release of November 11, 2022.

Letitia Wright Returns To Film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Amid Vaccine Controversy

Black Panther 2

BBC News has reported that Letitia Wright has returned to the set of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, to resume filming the movie after she sustained a critical shoulder fracture and severe concussion in August while filming a stunt. Wright was taken to a hospital in Boston, and was treated for her injuries, where Wright’s injuries were thought to be mild. Filming continued for Wakanda Forever without Wright, until the film didn’t have any more scenes to shoot without Wright, and shut down right before Thanksgiving. A spokesperson for Wright has now spoken, and here’s what they said:

Filming resumed this month as planned and we’re on schedule.

It’s good to see that Wright is up and running again, as it means that Wakanda Forever can continue production. It’s important to note that Wright is unvaccinated. While it may seem like a minor medical choice at first, that very thing may be a factor in suspending production. Up until recently, the United States has had a policy which states that foreign travelers may not enter the country without being vaccinated. Wright lives in London, and any filming work in the United States classifies her as a “traveler”. So, who knows? Maybe that’s one of the reasons.
