This week is Hasbro’s Power Week, a whole week dedicated to dropping news, products, and other info about everything Power Rangers and the Lightning Collection. Each day this week, new pre-orders have been going live for new releases in the popular Power Rangers Lightning Collection figure line.
Yesterday saw the debut of the new Street Fighter x Lightning Collection collaboration series, bringing to action figure form Ranger suits for iconic Street Fighter characters seen in Power Rangers video games. Ryu, the Crimson Hawk Ranger, was shown off yesterday, but now we have his partner.
CHUN-LI BLAZES INTO THE POWER RANGERS LIGHTNING COLLECTION
Revealed this morning, thanks to Black Nerd on Twitter, was the brand new Lightning Collection Morphed Chun-Li Blazing Phoenix Ranger. Like Ryu, this suit debuted first in 2019 in the Power Rangers Legacy Wars mobile game as part of that game’s second collaboration event with the Street Fighter brand. The suit later reappeared with Ryu as part of a DLC pack for the console Power Rangers Battle for the Grid video game.
Both Ryu and Chun-Li were also featured in a short film in collaboration between Bat in the Sun, and Hasbro titled Power Rangers Legacy Wars – Street Fighter Showdown. The film saw characters from the Street Fighter franchise teaming up with other Power Rangers, such as Tommy Oliver (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) and Gia Moran (Power Rangers Megaforce).

With the Power Coin of the Blazing Phoenix, Chun-Li features a Ranger suit made specifically for her, down to her classic kicking moves.
SPECIAL EFFECT PIECES
Just as Ryu included effect pieces for his Haidouken attack, Chun-Li will feature special effect pieces for her iconic kicking attacks as well as blast effects that can be attached to the included stand.

This stand’s arm can also be removed to allow for the feet to peg into the stand to create more battle poses as well. All of her details have been perfectly brought to life straight from the video games to your collection!
PLASTIC-FREE PACKAGING
Continuing with Hasbro’s Plastic Free approach, this release will feature the same style of the box as Ryu with the Street Fighter collab logo and a special artwork of Chun-Li on the sides of the box. The back also showcases all of the included accessory pieces. Also, like Ryu, she does not feature an unhelmeted look. This figure will be released in February 2023 for the deluxe figure price of $33.00. Chun-Lu is up for pre-order on Entertainment Earth and other Fan Channel retailers now. Hasbro also released a video on their YouTube channel showcasing this new figure and revealing that more details on it will be shown off in a closer look during tomorrow’s Hasbro Pulse Power Rangers Fanstream!
