Kate Dickie is set to join the mysterious second season of Loki and we can exclusively reveal whom she is playing.
Yesterday was a good day for film fans, but especially Marvel fans. In honor of the CCXP, multiple studios decided to drop the first trailer for highly anticipated blockbusters. Paramount started the day with the long-awaited trailer for the seventh Transformers film, Rise of the Beast. Soon after, during Lucasfilm’s panel at Brazil’s biggest Comic-Con, the studio dropped the first trailer for the fifth Indiana Jones film, now titled Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
And while those trailers excited fans around the globe, all eyes were on Marvel Studios’ presentation as rumors were making the round that we could be getting the first trailer for the highly anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. And Marvel Studios delivered and instantly broke the internet with the emotional first teaser trailer for the last film in James Gunn’s trilogy.

That wasn’t even the only big Marvel news of the day, as the highly anticipated Daredevil series cast Michael Gandolfini in a big, yet undisclosed role. Speaking of casting, we at The Illuminerdi exclusively revealed some big news in that regards over the last few weeks. We first broke the news of Aubrey Plaza’s casting in Agatha: Coven of Chaos, which is starting production soon, and we also exclusively revealed a potential casting in one of Marvel Studios’ yet unconfirmed series: Wonder Man.
Now one day after everyone cried over the sighting of Baby Rocket in that new Guardians of the Galaxy trailer, the Marvel news won’t stop.
WHO IS KATE DICKIE PLAYING?
Deadline has exclusively revealed that Kate Dickie has quietly joined the anticipated second season of Marvel Studios’ hit series Loki. The trade continued that Dickie will be playing a villain but couldn’t clarify the character specifically.
Now we at The Illuminerdi can exclusively reveal most fans’ assumptions that, yes, Kate Dickie is playing an older version of Sylvie and we can also back up that she is playing a villain in the show.

The news comes right after audiences at this year’s APAC Convention in Singapore got to see a bit of new footage of the series. According to Geek Culture, the footage confirmed Jonathan Major’s Kang the Conqueror to appear in the series. It also showed Owen Wilson’s Mobius with a new haircut as well as a new look at Ravonna Renslayer, Hunter-B15, and Sylvie. The footage reportedly ended with a bunch of Loki variants fighting together to stop a multiversal war.
Back in September Kevin Feige announced during the D23 convention that Everything Everywhere All at Once star Ke Huy Quan has joined the cast of the series.
