Don Bluth is a beloved name in the animation world, with credits on films such as All Dogs Go To Heaven and The Land Before Time was the guest of honor. Bluth hosted a panel at Momocon, which is available to view online now.

According to the press release, there were [over 80 guests and celebrities in attendance]. Greg Baldwin, the voice of Uncle Iroh in the final season of Avatar: The Last Airbender ans Yuri Lowethal, voice of Peter Parker in the Insomniac Spider-Man games, were two highlights from that group. The founders of Momocon went on to express their gratitude for 2023 and their excitement for Momocon 2024.

“We’re grateful to the fans who join us in celebrating our favorite stories and characters, year after year. This year was fantastic and we’re already looking forward to 2024,” said Co-Founder Chris Stuckey. Fellow Co-Founder Jess Merriman also stated, “This was a special year. We were so close to a world record thanks to our community. Even if we didn’t make it, this is a point of history we’ll always cherish”.

Unfortunately, Momocon 2023 did not break the Spider-Man world record this year. But the convention has been growing in presence and attendance since the first year, and this outing represents a strong return to form in a post-pandemic world. Perhaps the record could be broken at the 2024 event.

Such a feat would be incredible for the convention, and it would be a great promotion for 2024’s Spider-Man: Beyond The Spiderverse.

Details about next year’s convention are currently unavailable but stay tuned for announcements as they develop.
