At the end of the credits of the season two finale of The Mandalorian, a tribute has been added in memoriam of the original actor who played Boba Fett in the original trilogy, Jeremy Bulloch.

Boba Fett has been a fan favorite character since he was first introduced in the original trilogy. Boba didn’t speak much and never took off his helmet, but Jeremy Bulloch brought an intimidating and enigmatic presence to the character. Boba famously captured the smuggler turned Rebel General Han Solo and returned Solo to Jabba The Hutt encased in carbonite.

Jeremy Bulloch never showed his face, but the actor had such a presence while portraying the mysterious bounty hunter that he helped spawn a love for this character that grew with books and comics. While these are now Legends stories, Boba Fett’s story is further explored when he appears in Attack Of The Clones when Obi-wan finds Jango Fett and his clone son, Boba.

Boba Fett first appeared in The Empire Strikes Back and makes what would assumedly be his final appearance in A New Hope when the bounty hunter falls into the Sarlacc pit. However, fans were ecstatic to see Temuera Morrison appear in the second season premiere of The Mandalorian. Morrison would later make his official debut as Boba Fett proving why Boba had earned his reputation as the infamous bounty hunter. Boba appeared in four episodes of The Mandalorian’s second season.

In The Clone Wars series Boba, voiced by Daniel Logan, begins his work as a bounty hunter following in his father’s footsteps.

Fans are beyond excited to see The Book Of Boba Fett a series that will finally focus on the bounty hunter that has captured audience’s attention for forty years. None of this would have been possible without the outstanding portrayal by the late Jeremy Bulloch. Bulloch’s performance had gravitas even without seeing his face and so few lines he managed to enthrall fans and creators alike. Dedicating the episode is a thoughtful tribute to an actor that helped to capture the imaginations of audiences all over the world.
