Eric Andre’s hidden camera comedy Bad Trip is headed to Netflix in March.
Orion Pictures’ Bad Trip is a hidden camera comedy film featuring Eric André (Rough Night, Man Seeking Woman), Lil Rel Howery (Get Out), Michaela Conlin (Bones), and Tiffany Haddish (Girls Trip, The Kitchen) that was supposed to come out in theaters a long time ago. Now it is finally arriving on Netflix.
The comedy flick was originally slated to be released theatrically in October of 2019, but got pushed to February 2020. However that didn’t happen either. Then there were plans to premiere the film at SXSW in March 2020, but SXSW ended up being canceled due to the global pandemic.
Bad Trip was then scheduled to be released on April 17, 2020, but its luck ran out once again. Movie theaters shut down entirely, which led to the film being pulled from the schedule. Then a strange thing happened. The film was accidentally released digitally on Amazon Prime Video for a brief time release date of April 17, even though it wasn’t supposed to be there. It was taken down soon afterward, but it was available long enough to be leaked.

In May 2020, it was announced that MGM had sold Bad Trip to Netflix. The leak reportedly did not affect the sale. And now we finally have a release date, the R-rated comedy is officially headed to the streamer next month. Actor Eric André revealed through his Twitter. Check out the movie’s trailer below.

Bad Trip is scheduled to be released on Netflix on March 26, 2021.
