Obi-Wan Kenobi: 7 Characters We Would Love To See Make An Appearance In The New Star Wars Series

The Illuminerdi breaks down 7 Star Wars characters we'd love to see appear in Obi-Wan Kenobi and their connection to the Jedi.
Obi-Wan Kenobi

Obi-Wan Kenobi is nearly here and the series is one of the most highly anticipated new Star Wars series with two of the biggest legacy characters, Obi-Wan and Darth Vader, set to come face to face for what is described as the rematch of the century. Part of what is so exciting about the Star Wars series is how interconnected they are. Both The Mandalorian and The Book Of Boba Fett have brought characters from The Clone Wars animated series into live action further fleshing out these characters’ stories. Obi-Wan Kenobi would be the perfect series to continue this trend.

Obi-Wan was an integral part of The Clone Wars forming intriguing relationships with numerous characters in the series. With this new limited series diving deeper into Obi-Wan’s character than ever before it would be the perfect time to further explore these bonds. The series takes place ten years after Revenge Of The Sith and with Obi-Wan likely dealing with the loss and trauma of being one of the few Jedi survivors of the Clone Wars and Order 66 bringing in a familiar face could help further explore his character.

AHSOKA

Rosario Dawson - Ahsoka

Obi-Wan and Ahsoka have a deep and unique bond with Ahsoka being the former Padawan of Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan’s own Padawan. Obi-Wan helped teach Ahsoka as she was learning and training to become a Jedi bringing a well rounded perspective to her tutelage and at time balancing out Anakin’s own teachings. Both suffered a great loss when the Jedi were wiped out and Anakin was lost.

Although Ahsoka doesn’t know of Anakin’s fate she had her suspicions feeling his fall to the dark side in the final arc of The Clone Wars. This series would be the perfect opportunity for Ahsoka and Obi-Wan to come together and potentially bring closure to this relationship. It could also be an opportunity for Obi-Wan to regain some of the faith he seems to have lost in his isolation and grief.

BO-KATAN KRYZE

Bo-Katan and Obi-Wan rarely saw eye to eye, but they both cared deeply for Bo-Katan’s sister Satine. The pair shared a great loss when Satine was murdered by Darth Maul and in that tragedy the two were tragically bonded forever. Athough Obi-Wan was unable to help Bo-Katan take Mandalore back from Darth Maul he did consult with Ahsoka and Bo-Katan during the siege.

Mandalore, like many planets, fell under Empire control and Bo-Katan was ousted as leader. It would be interesting to see Bo-Katan and Obi-Wan meet again in the new series. It would be interesting to see how the loss they share impacts their relationship perhaps leading to the two becoming allies.

SATINE KRYZE

Obi-Wan Kenobi is primed for flashbacks with Hayden Christensen reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader. With the new series being a deep character study flashbacks into some of the most important moments in Obi-Wan’s life could be a way to further explore what has brought the Jedi to this point. One of the most impactful relationships Obi-Wan had, other than Anakin, was with Satin Kryze the leader of Mandalore.

In The Clone Wars the pair have a deep trust and respect for each other often bickering playfully while defending one another. It was established in the series that they had romantic feelings for one another, but Obi-Wan’s vow as a Jedi kept them from acting on them. Although Satine was killed by Maul in The Clone Wars it would be interesting to see her brought into live action through flashbacks or even Obi-Wan being haunted by her memory.
